This blade is made of high carbon steel (HCS). It is a material that resists bending well and is therefore best suited for cutting softer materials such as soft wood, soft plastics and wood fibre boards. The blade attachment is bayonet-shank type, also known as T-shank, designed for quick and easy blade changes. The T-shaped cross-section fits into the blade holder of the jigsaw. The shape of the shank ensures a secure attachment and reduces the risk of the blade slipping or coming loose during use.
